Vintage Design
This striking chandelier was produced Sweden in the late 1950s. The fixture consists of a ceiling cup and central brass stem with the five brass arms attached to the lower centre. The distinct shades are made of a matte white opaline glass. The three-dimensional studded pattern of the glass gives the shades a beautiful and interesting texture, both when the lamp is turned on and off. Other noteworthy details include the brass finials and the middle part of the stem in black lacquered metal. The high quality of the production and the originality of the design are exemplary for the Swedish Modern lighting of the 1950s.
The chandelier is in a very good original condition, the brass with a natural patina consistent with age and use (can be polished if a more shiny, new look is preferred)
