The present pair of late 17th century or early 18th century Spanish Baroque giltwood architectural elements may have once formed part of an altarpiece environment. Their decorative program features lion’s feet set upon Classically inspired plinths with a pair of beaded scrolling volutes protruding forward in a graceful composition. Each piece is surmounted by a decorative capital depicting floral motifs.
Prepared for sitting upright as part of a credenza display or for individual suspension on a wall, perfect for adding dimension or uniqueness to an entryway or pair of flanking niches.
