George III Period, sterling silver-mounted (unmarked but tested), ram’s horn snuff mull with hinged lid. The lid is inset with a central, faceted cairngorm stone which is surrounded by the sterling silver scroll designed mount, Scotland, Ca. 1810. Measures 3 1/2 inches long (from bottom of curl to highest point) x 1 3/4 inches diameter (at widest point). There is an age-related hairline on one side of the mull (see photos) that is commensurate with age and use. Lid closes nicely. Dark areas on sterling silver are reflections. In good antique condition.
