Stunning decorative etched coffee / side table in brass dating from the 70s, by and signed Felix de Boussy, Belgium. A moon surface inspired pattern combined in squares with a rare agate stone inlay and a black laquered metal base, six legs divided in two groups of three.
Felix de Boussy is a Belgian 20th century designer that with Willy Daro started the a “material revolutiuon” when he garnered attention for an innovative use of natural materials. Boussy’s and Daro’s audacious furnishings featured an unlikely merging of brass, minerals, fossils, coral, shells and stones. The works from this era frequently share commonalities with brutalist-style design while retaining a luxurious look and feel.
