Vintage Design
Fantastic chandelier in museum quality from the time of Biedermeier – original around 1820; subsequently electrified.
All parts made of massive bronze, fire -gilded.
Very difficult and massive execution.
Painted some parts with green enamel paint (the painting partially rubbed; the gold -plated gilding comes to light underneath).
In the Museum of Applied Arts in Vienna (MAK), an original draft for this model can be found under the inventory number KI 8971-1676 – this is the version with 6 lighting low.
