This exceptional antique Norwegian silver spoon has an oval rounded shaped form with a narrow stem handle and knopped terminal.
The bowl is ornamented with engraved simplified swag and leaf decoration, in addition to the initials ‘HS’.
The cast silver handle of this antique silver spoon is embellished with a simplified leaf design enveloping the tapering stem accented with a stylized creature to the posterior edge of the bowl.

This 17th century Norwegian silver spoon is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition in keeping with age.
The cast decoration is very sharp and the engraved ornamentation is very crisp.
