The sides of this antique box are plain and unembellished.
This exceptional gold box is fitted with a fine and impressive hinged cover embellished with impressive foliate decoration accented with five clusters of individually set turquoise to the floral motifs.
The surface to the underside is embellished with impressive engine turned decoration in a concentric ring design.
The upper and lower rims of the box is encompassed with eighty-five claw set seed pearls.
This exceptional antique gold pill box bears the retailer’s label ‘E, Tessier, 26 New Bond St, Circa 1815’ to the interior of the cover.

This antique gold pill box is an exceptional gauge of gold, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The box is set with evenly colour matched seed pearls and turquoise. The decoration to the surface of the box is all sharp.
