Vintage Design
Midcentury modernist mahogany and “silver” 4 sphere table lamp, 1950s. This lamp was sold at auction as Art Deco but we fee it’s closer to modernism and have put the age at 1930s- 1950s. The 4 white spheres are playfully placed, in opposite pairs, at a different height so from various points you can see the centre translucent glass sphere. The mahogany has some light surface wear and we have written “silver” as the material is very heavy and cold to the touch, not magnetic but we assume more silver or nickel plated than actual real silver. An absolutely stunning piece!
