Condition: A light scattering of old worm marks and wear on walnut commensurate with age. Old nail marks from previous upholstery on the underside of the rails. 20th century pine blocks in each corner on the underside of the frame to ensure stability.
‘Os de Mouton’ (mutton Bone) originated as a design in France during the 1600s. It is an elegant, sweeping form which has a timeless quality to it and harmonises with period, modern and contemporary interiors and collections and thus very popular.
